Hello! I am the New York City Organizer. After a couple of false starts, I think my group is quivering in its swaddling clothes. Several people came to our last meeting and we have scheduled our next one to be two weeks later as opposed to a month later. We will see what happens. We were thinking maybe there were worse places then starbucks to meet, even though nobody is too fond of that idea. It is warm and quiet. Perhaps we can go walking in the woods when it gets a little less wintry. I dont mind the cold, but I think it should be comfortable to as many people as possible. I am not sure I am quite ready to invite these folks into my tiny NY apt. yet. Would be curious to hear where other folks meet, and what folks talked about.

One thing that was interesting. Apparently at our first meeting there were several of us sitting around to shy to approach the others, not knowing who was a pantheist and who was an innocent coffee drinker, It was not until one dude got up and yelled "Anyone here for the Pantheism meetup!!!!?" that we all got together after blushingly raising our hands. I was thinking I might bring a shell and put it on the table or something. Something to let new folks know who we are.
Has anyone else had this issue? |

Mr. New York,
with what i read in your reply happens alot ..I live in Texas and have been trying to build a community of pantheism for two years!! so even if your first few meetings are a bomb keep in mind your taking the first big step for ALL of us..not just new yorkers..and the first steps are always a little unstable but as you keep stepping others will walk with you. I hate living in such a conservative state... your texan Crystal ![]() |
